This item caught my eye in Norfolk’s Evening News, but probably for all the wrong reasons . . . Lucky Victoria Benabied bagged a hefty 25 grand when she won the National Bingo Game prize at her local Mecca Bingo club in Norwich after being dragged there by a bored mate (you can insert your own Alan Partridge-esque gag about Norwich being boring here).
Aside from being insanely jealous that the casual visit netted her such a big wodge of cash (and that I’m not one of her mates who she’s pledged to split the win with) I was amused by Ms. Benabied’s quote “The nice thing is that the winning number was 69, which is my nan's favourite number.” Now I’m not sure if it’s me with a smutty mind or nan being naughty, but don’t tell me that no one at the Evening News spotted the risqué double entendre? Hmmm . . .
