Despite GoldenPalace not having any heritage in land-based Bingo clubs, you may already be aware of this company since, when it comes to the art of getting mainstream media publicity, there are few Internet gaming companies that can rival it. We thought we’d look behind the marketing hype to see if GoldenPalace’s online Bingo is all baubles and no balls.
Thankfully GoldenPalace’s eccentric PR stunts do not manifest themselves as a cavalier attitude to honesty and security when you step into its online Bingo hall. The Company has been a reassuringly popular online destination for online gamers since establishing its original online casino business in 1997. Its continuing popularity and growth into new areas of online gaming entertainment such as online Bingo, together with its membership of the Interactive Gaming Council, is proof enough that this is an operator with the highest standards of integrity. Like any decent palace, GP’s visitors can expect discreet, yet tight security to surround them.

So what of GoldenPalace’s online Bingo hall? Well, it’s bold and bright website hints at the experience to come, and offers easy access to pretty much all the information any new player could need. As a US company the look and feel is definitely biased to that market (hence the wads of dollars brandished by the model on its home page), but GP Bingo doesn’t ignore G B Bingo players either – there’s 90-ball Bingo here as well as the North American 75-ball game, and deposits and withdrawals can be in Pounds, or Euros too.
To get to play GoldenPalace Bingo you will first need to download its custom software. It’s worth noting that this software is only available for Windows PCs and we were a little disappointed that this crucial requirement couldn’t be found explicitly stated in the site’s published user guides. Using such download software is slightly unusual for online Bingo, which is commonly delivered using the ubiquitous Flash software, and it does mean if you don’t / can’t run Microsoft Windows on your computer your online Bingo-playing ambitions are banjaxed here. However, for those that can install and run GP’s games, you’ll be treated to Bingo with some very swishy sound and graphics, and all the player options you could want for your convenience. There are three excellent halls to play, two for 75 ball and one for 90 ball Bingo, and the popularity of GoldenPalace is evident from the healthy crowds playing its round-the-clock sessions. The thrifty ticket prices are in US currency which is a little less convenient for non-US players, but that shouldn’t be a barrier for them playing here, especially as to reject this hall on this issue would be to miss out on playing some great bingo with decent prizes including some tasty progressive jackpots.

Bingo Chat addicts are also well catered for at GoldenPalace, with friendly CMs running the show and hosting regular Chat Games to add to the fun of the main attraction. The Chat facility opens in a separate window to the Bingo games, which, in our humble opinion, isn’t as neat as having it integrated into the main console as some rivals do, but it’s certainly not a deal-breaker and you may well prefer this arrangement. As with many online Bingo halls, there’s also a selection of slots and instant win games to mess about with if you need a break from the balls, and these are delivered with the same élan evident throughout GoldenPalace’s games.
Promotions are plentiful and GoldenPlace offers both new player and loyalty bonuses which compete with the best online, and exceed those of many ‘big name’ UK rivals. You’ll also find GoldenPalace has perfectly serviceable 24/7 customer support through e-mail and its helpful CMs in the chatrooms – we would like to have seen freephone support offered too for less technically literate, or keyboard proficient players, but that omission is perhaps only a minor peccadillo to pick GP up on.

Although GoldenPalace displays an unashamedly American flavour to its online Bingo hall, we think UK and other European players will feel right at home playing its 90 ball sessions . . . and we’re all for trying something new, so having a couple of 75 ball halls off the same virtual lobby is a definite plus for us. The need to download computer-specific software to play here doesn’t make it as instantly, or as universally accessible as some of our favourite 90 ball Bingo sites, but the upside of GoldenPalace’s approach is to deliver games that have that extra bit of graphical gloss and polish that makes playing here a little bit special. |
